Methods and Techniques

I love to work outdoors, as outdoor paintings keep a tremendous energy within them.
Usually, I make pencil and oil sketches outdoors to establish the main compositional masses and elements of a landscape. Later I use photographs to work on details, tones and color in my studio.
I use high quality paint, as my work is depending on the ability to obtain the maximum purity. Muddy colors in the sky stick out and can destroy any painting.
I believe that selection is the first step to a good composition when working with nature.
